Quality Assurance Technician

Assures quality control by conducting performance and operational evaluations on Electrical Trainers and Course Boards and performs assembly of Electrical Trainers and Course Boards as necessary.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform circuit board level electronics assembly and troubleshooting
• Provide feedback from inspections to production staff and mentor them on best assembly practices
• Provide oversight and training for new employees
• Providing technical customer service and remote troubleshooting of electronics and automotive systems
• Identify automation opportunities for electrical board and trainer checkout procedures, and working with engineering on implementation
• Collaborate with engineering on new product design introduction to production
• Conduct validation testing, feedback for updates, and changes to optimize production assembly operations on new product designs
• Programming IC chips for printed circuit boards
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills with applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Fluent in English
• Experience working with both mechanical and electronic systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills and strong verbal and written communications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Lean manufacturing experience or training
• Project management experience working on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines on assigned tasks and communicating goals and results to stakeholders
• Generally inquisitive and interested in learning new technology
• Adapts well to change

Other Requirements:

This position typically requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.  Occasionally heavy work can constitute exerting up to 50 pounds of force to lift or move items.
